Microsoft Azure and Cluster Performance Data

Last Updated: Jul 17, 2017 03:18PM PDT

Applies to...

  • DxEnterprise 15.0

Summary

When running DxEnterprise on Microsoft Windows Azure, DxEnterprise performance data may not be seen/displayed for remote cluster members.

Information

DxEnterprise cluster members, by default, use UDP broadcast to deliver performance data. But UDP broadcast is not supported by Azure (Is UDP broadcast available in Windows Azure virtual networks?).

Resolution

Configure DxEnterprise to use TCP to deliver performance data, go to Tools -> Cluster Settings, and set PerfBroadcastEnabled property to False.
